Unicorn Fart Dust (SOL: $UFD) is a meme coin created by YouTuber Ronald Branstetter, who was previously known for his maximalist stance on gold and silver. Two days after its launch in mid-December, UFD climbed to a market cap of over $240 million, sending shockwaves throughout the crypto world.
Unicorn Fart Dust (UFD) Origins
During a recent interview on KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM, Branstetter, known as Ron Basement, explained how he came up with the idea of the meme coin. According to him, his wife showed him an article about the Fart meme coin, which piqued his curiosity about meme coins. A few days later, a friend suggested he should start a meme coin and call it Unicorn Fart Dust.
In a December 17, 2024, video announcing the launch of $UFD, the YouTuber discussed the Fart coin meme coin, which was worth $500 million at the time. He stated that the valuation was bigger than almost all silver companies he knew.
Coincidentally, the Unicorn Fart Dust meme coin launched just days after Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 introduced a new finishing move called Unicorn Fart. The new move has drawn some controversy in the gaming community for being disrespectful. During his stream, Branstetter mentioned the new move.
At the time of his stream, Ron Basement expressed shock that his meme coin, which he explained had no intrinsic value, was worth over $6,500. During a follow-up stream on the meme coin, Ron stated that his meme coin was worth over $23 million. He added that he had sold half of his holdings and pledged to distribute 20% of the profits to more than 45K subscribers. Since then, his subscribers have grown to over 52K.
Support for the Unicorn Fart Dust meme coin has grown tremendously; on X, he now has over 46.9K followers. In one of the comments on his initial YouTube video for $UFD, a commenter noted that he would “make more money on his own meme coin than trading silver his whole life.”
This organic surge in support is due to the premium that the crypto community has on honesty. However, many have warned him about the risk of scams, and misinformation in the crypto sector.

Should You Add $UFD To Your Portfolio?
Unicorn Fart Dust ($UFD) joins a small but growing list of celebrity meme coins that have mad waves in 2025. Another notable meme coin is Zack Morris ($ZACK), which has recorded over 30% in gains in the past month. Based on this growing trend and the accidental rise of Ron Basement to fame, $UFD could potentially become one of the most valuable meme coins of 2025.
